Contacts in the Tact app are saved from different sources. Tact makes managing contacts easy. It merges same contacts from different sources into one contact.
Contacts are merged only if -
- a matching email address is found on one or more contacts,
- or if same first name and last names are found on one or more contacts.
If you are seeing a duplicate contact, it's possible that the first name, last name and/or email do not match. You can fix this by following the steps below -
- Open the duplicate contacts, and check the first and last name. (Make sure both contacts have the same spelling for the first name and last name.)
- Check the email address listed for the duplicate contacts and ensure they have the same email address.
Once we've made sure that duplicate contacts have matching information, Tact will automatically merge both contacts.
